This Course aims at preparing effective secondary school teachers, who are capable of responding to the progressive needs of the modern Indian society. The Program is One-Year Full Time Degree Course affiliated to CCS University, Meerut. This Program has been approved by NCTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, an apex body for governing and regulating entire teacher education program in India. The Course enables prospective teachers to understand the nature, purpose and philosophy of secondary education and to acquire competencies relevant to stage specific pedagogy, curriculum development and its continuous evaluation to foster creative thinking among students and utilize community resources as educational inputs.

Fee Structure

The Annual Fees for the Session 2012-13 is Rs 51250/- and the Examination Fees( to be paid directly to CCS University) is Rs. 4531/-. The Fees for the Session 2013-14 will be as per the University / State Govt. norms.

Admission Process

Number of Seats : No of Seats allotted to MIPS for B.Ed. are: 200
Eligibility : Graduate with minimum 50% marks or as per the Directives of C.C.S University/ U.P State Govt./ NCTE
Selection Criteria : As per the Rules of the CCS University, Meerut issued from time to time.

Curriculum

The duration of the B.Ed. course is one academic year. The course consists of nine papers divided into sub categories which are based upon the area of specialization like Arts, Science & Commerce etc.

Value Addition at MIPS

In the present scenario, where along with imparting theoretical knowledge to the pupil teachers the inculcation of the professional and practical moral values is the need of the hour. To achieve this aim every year MIPS excels in academic field by organizing different Co-Curricular activities as under –

Scouts and Guide Camp:
Apart from providing theoretical knowledge, the physical training is also given to the budding teachers in which Tent Pitching, Yoga Meditation, Sports & Games and other cultural activities are organized.

Debate & Quiz Competitions
In order to enlighten the students and raise their confidence level, the B.Ed department organizes debate & quiz competitions. The competitions help the pupil teachers in improving their communication skills and ensuring their all round development.

Exhibitions
The B.Ed. Department provides the platform to the upcoming talents by organizing exhibitions to show their creativity in the form of models, charts and various other tools which are helpful in class conduct.

Yoga Workshops
Every year the Centre for Teacher Education organizes Workshops/Seminars where the academicians and experts from the field of education express their views on contemporary issues in school education.

Cultural Activities
Instead of monotonous lectures, the Department also organizes various cultural activities for the entertainment of students in which the students show their talents via Dance, Songs, Rangoli, Poetry and other Craft Work.

Industrial Visits

MIPS frequently organizes Industrial Visits & Training Programmes to provide Practical Exposure & better live learning environment in its Industry –Academic Interface Programme. For every course these visits are organized on fortnightly basis as to check the practical aspects of theoretical knowledge & understanding of concepts.
